Global Mission is a key part of how we live out the vision of St Mary’s—both locally and globally.
We are committed to sharing God’s love around the world through long-term mission partnerships, short-term mission trips, and by faithfully supporting and praying for our mission partners.
We’re blessed to be involved in mission work in Uganda and Armenia, and we count it a privilege to partner with what God is doing in those communities.
Uganda
We, as a church have chosen to support Simon and Sarah Cawdell with their overseas mission in Gulu, Uganda, where Sarah is principal of the Christian Theological College. Simon is developing a farming project with the ordinands and the locals who live in the area. To create self sustainability and a means to generate income and employment. Benefitting the whole community and region. Sharing the love of Jesus through friendship and generosity.

Armenia
St Mary’s Highley is honoured to partner with Calvary Church in Spitak, Armenia. This relationship has allowed us to visit, build deep and lasting friendships, and actively support the mission and ministry of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
On the right is Pastor Mxhitar and Rev Kina with the local congregation. Our hope is that they will be able to find a more suitable building in which to grow and develop their presence in the local community.

On December 7, 1988, a catastrophic 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck near Spitak in Northern Armenia. The devastation was overwhelming—nearly 25,000 lives were lost, over 20,000 people were injured, 314 buildings collapsed, and more than 360,000 people were left homeless. Pastor Mkhitar’s village was among those destroyed in the disaster.
Today, we are privileged to stand alongside Calvary Church as they work toward building a dedicated place of worship in Spitak. Through financial support, faithful prayer, and encouragement, we are helping to restore hope and strengthen their witness in the community.
In the video, Pastor Mkhitar shares the heart of their church building.
A message from Pastor Mxhitar (with English subtitles)
“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”
