Volunteer storytellers go into Highley Community Primary School and Kinlet Church of England School on Tuesday mornings.
Open the Book began 20 years ago when a group of Christians in Bedford wanted to take Bible stories into primary schools . This has grown to over 3,000 Primary school children hearing Bible stories told by teams throughout England and Wales .
The pupils love participating in the assemblies and are able to engage with the stories and the actors.
